You can also prefer solid foods such as eating a fruit or a snack that has carbohydrates, which will be absorbed by your muscles while you exercise.
Personally, I do not advise consuming protein before exercising, because it represents a heavier load for your digestion and you will be in constant movement so you can lose electrolytes, vomit and even faint. In my particular case, I recommend, if necessary, to consume light things such as fruits or snacks.
Remember if you eat food before training you should wait a reasonable time around 40 minutes before starting to perform and exercises and that they fulfill your objective of providing you with energy during the training session. Remember to bring a hydrating drink with which you can have drinks during the session in case you have a loss of electrolytes.
